Anyone coming across the same issue, please drop by that post and click the "Me Too" button.DRIVER USB GUITAR LINK BEHRINGER WINDOWS 10 DOWNLOAD. I posted in the Apple forums in hopes of getting the issue some attention. This has me suspicious I'm encountering problems with the new, M1-optimized implementation of Logic Pro. UPDATE: A more reliable (but still disappointing) workaround has been to launch Logic Pro in Rosetta mode. If anyone out there has any ideas-or insight into whether Behringer's already working on a fix-I'd love to hear it! I'm confident Sweetwater will get me set up reliably, even if I have to shell out more money. If Behringer's tech support is as bad as the help section on their web site, it's not worth the time. I'm currently deciding whether to contact Behringer before talking to the vendor (Sweetwater). In light of the UMC's price tag, I'm going to be disappointed if I have to ship this thing back and try something else at probably 3x the price. I don't have golden ears or anything, but I'm noticing a profound step up in clarity/detail. I'm upgrading from an ancient MOTU 828 (mk I) which I've finally decided is obsolete now my computer doesn't provide any firewire-adjacent ports. Otherwise, the thing sounds pretty fantastic so far. I haven't yet tried my previous Macbook - 2015 or so, USB 2.0 at any rate - but that might be my next step. I even went to the trouble of installing Windows on my old Intel Mac to see if there was a firmware update in the (Windows-only!) software pack. I tried the cable that came with it through a multi-adapter, and assuming that was the problem at first, I bought a brand new USB-B to USB-C cable so I could connect it directly. As I get past setup and testing and consider committing to this setup, I'm afraid this will come back and bite me hard, considering I've already written off 8 threads and 6 cores. If I use more than the minimum of multithreading, it renders the device useless for all practical purposes. I fully understand that the UMC is a different generation of technology from the new Macbooks in at least two major ways, but this feels like a bug. A modest bump in I/O Buffer Size (128 or 256 is sufficient so far) has helped for more intensive things, but that seems kinda normal. I've tried a number of other configurations/variables, and this was reliably what made the difference. The next bump up to 4 cores brings the problem right back. What did it for me was (in Preferences => Audio => Devices) changing Processing Threads from Automatic to 2 (2 High Performance Cores). I have finally been able to get it to play smoothly. I have a brand new Macbook Pro (2021) with an M1 Pro chip, and I've been struggling with serious playback buffering problems in Logic Pro with the UMC1820. This post was a top hit on my troubleshooting search, so I thought I might add my in-progress UMC 1820 experience:
